World Health Organization - Toxic Cyanobacteria In Water

The Toxic Cyanobacteria In Water book was created in order to examine the need for protecting drinking water, recreational water, and other water supplies from contamination due to cyanobacteria. This is done to control their impact on human and environmental health.

In order to do this the nature, diversity, and overall global occurrence of toxic cyanobacteria. The consequences for public health and methods for assessment, management, investigation and treatment of contaminated water supplies. In addition, there are programs for monitoring the causes and occurrence of cyanobacteria in water as well as the techniques to conduct the analysis of water samples.
